We are looking for:

APPLICATION SUPPORT AGENT MEDIOR

Type of employment: B2B CONTRACT

Location: Brussels (Belgium)

Work model: HYBRID (3 days per week onsite in Brussels)

Temporary employment: PROJECT-BASED CONTRACT


Your role:  

All the Commissions’ activities and decisions (legislative, political, administrative, technical and financial) lead to the production of records. Some of them are received or produced in paper form others are sent or received electronically, by email or through specific applications. These records need to be managed according to basic common rules applicable throughout the Commission.

The records management and archival policy in the Commission is known under the acronym e-Domec, which stands for electronic archiving and document management in the European Commission. e-Domec applies to all Commission Directorates-Generals (DGs) and equivalent departments.

All DGs and equivalent departments need to ensure that appropriate processes and procedures are in place to make sure that records and archives are managed in a secure and efficient way. This is especially true regarding retrieving appropriate information and comply with applicable legislation.

Hermes-Ares-NomCom (HAN) is a suite of IT tools that have been developed to allow working in accordance with the e-Domec rules within the Commission DGs and equivalent departments.

The HAN Support Team is responsible for providing second line support to the HAN suite, creating / updating existing documentation, making communication to end users. The Team also works hand in hand with the Technical Team and other stakeholders. They are also providing training to end users and other stakeholders on the different tools of the HAN suite.

Description of tasks

• User guidance and support regarding the use of information systems / ICT tools.

• Follow-up of incidents related to information systems.

• Follow-up of user requests.

• Analyse, report and follow-up of bugs.

• Deliver user trainings.

• Writing user documentation for Information Systems.

• Deliver guidance and coaching on Information Systems.

• Provide IT communication through different type of support (e.g. intranet, newsletters, Tip and Tricks, etc.).

Your profile:

  • Proven knowledge in end user assistance and support of information systems.
  • Proven experience in providing user trainings.
  • Good general IT skills.
  • Knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites, ticketing tools
  • Excellent communication / writing skills.
  • Quick self-starting capability
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
  • Ability to understand, speak and write French and English.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method.
  • Ability to work in an international / multi-cultural environment on a large project.
  • As the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.A.1 contain personal and confidential data, a high degree of discretion and integrity is required from all our staff members.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant studies after the secondary school (2 years of professional experience can compensate 1 year of study).
